And here we were again.

Electroclash, bored out of her wits, in her office.

But there was one small perk compared to many, many other times this same situation had happened: there was no annoying radio! Granted, there wasn't any radio, but the lack of a possessed radio spewing God knows what drivel at an uncomfortable volume was a definite plus.

Not that it made Electroclash look any less surly, but, you know. Still nice.

Tony had received one very annoyed voice mail from Strange about mucking around with technology in forces beyond his ken.

Which would be why he was bringing a perfectly normal radio to Sarah today. One that might shoot lasers, but no demonic entities at all. "I don't even remember which office was supposed to be mine."

[electrocynic]

"Suggest getting yourself one that's easy to recognize," Sarah rasped, briefly glancing up towards the pencils in the ceiling. Then she looked back down again. "That a non-possessed piece of electronics?"

"I have several back home," Tony replied, putting the radio down on her desk. "Apparently your other radio was not meant for mortal ears. Oh, and was evil for real."

[electrocynic]

Sarah did not look even remotely surprised by that. Christ, she'd had the thing in her office long enough to know it had been obviously sent by Satan.

She eyed the new one critically.

Her voice crackled in a way that didn't sound like it came from flesh and blood. "|Radio, turn on.|"

Hopefully it would remain in the pit. Forever.

Tony tilted his head, half feeling that in his spine. "You have to say it out loud?" he asked as the radio turned on to a talk show.

[electrocynic]

"Sort of goes with the whole 'controling machines with my voice' business, yeah," Sarah drawled, glancing up. Looking mildly pleased at the radio behaving itself, to be honest.

Tony just made a vaguely interested noise and nodded. "I was wondering if that raincheck for our date is still good."

[electrocynic]

Sarah leaned back in her chair.

"Could be."

[imafuturist]

"Could be?"

[electrocynic]

Sarah smirked. "Hard of hearing?"

No, she was just an asshole sometimes.

[imafuturist]

"Don't want to assume," Tony replied. "People change their minds all the time."

[electrocynic]

She rolled her eyes at him, as you do.

"It is."

That was an answer to his original question, not what he'd been saying just now.

"This weekend?" Since he'd be spending this week commuting to New York for more science.

[electrocynic]

Ugh. So nerdy.

"Saturday?" Sarah replied, shrugging a shoulder. "Should work for me." Wasn't like she ever actually did anything.

[imafuturist]

Hey, he was politely assuming she had a social life.

"Saturday..." His expression went a little distant as he made sure to check his calender in case Pepper had scheduled a fundraiser or something. "Should work."

[electrocynic]

Well, sometimes she went back to London. And sometimes she hung out at Atton and Sparkle's place. And... no, that was really about it.

She looked vaguely amused. "Thought I'd lose you for a second there, mate. Busy schedule?"

[imafuturist]

"I'm a popular guy," Tony replied with a smile on reflex. "Sometimes my assistant likes to schedule me to go to functions that I hate when I piss her off enough."

Which he'd certainly managed this past week.

"And is that often?"

She tended to move in circles where the answer to that would've been an easy yes from most people involved.

"...enough to notice a pattern." So yes.
