This was it.

Sarah's apartment at MCA and office at the school had been emptied out. Most of her stuff was now in London under Jenny's care, waiting on how things shook out. Sarah herself had spent most of this past week in London as well, for the most part making sure her arse print was still worn into the seat in their favourite booth at The Fortress. It'd been a good time, despite Jenny's repeated fucking blubbering at how romantic this whole thing was. Alex had mostly looked confused about the whole thing, while Don had just stated he wished the sex was worth the move.

And Devlin, ever-present with his group of brown-nosers by the bar, had made some crack about her tits and space and whatever.

She'd said her goodbyes.

And then she'd set up on her journey. Which had been the bloody worst, so far. Of course there couldn't be a direct portal from London to Oa. Of course not. She'd been bounced around the multiverse, from one waiting area to the next, so many times that she'd already lost count and was ready to yell at just about anyone who gave her even the slightest bit of extra trouble. She'd worn her costume for this journey, hoping that'd make people treat her better, but nah. Same shit as she would've gotten in her civvies. Except maybe with a touch more leering, ugh.

She'd never been as glad to figure out this portal was the final one. It spat her out, and she was there. On Oa.

"Fucking finally."

God, she hoped that fucking ginger pain in her arse was actually here.

And also not dating some early-twenties waif with legs for days.

[ooc: This is it, Sarah's final hurrah! NFB and for the Guy + relevant NPCs with the kind permission of the admins. Thank you all for making these five and a half years with Sarah such a lovely time!]

Electroclash was in her office.

Packing.

Not that there was a whole lot to pack. She hadn't really brought too much of any personal shit in here in the first place, over the years. So mostly she was just pointlessly re-arranging some of the old paperwork that whoever her replacement was going to be was probably not even going to look at. At least if they were anything like her.

Her home was about half-packed away. Still needed to ship a ton of her crap back to London, where it'd either get divvied up between her friends or it'd wait for her in storage if this Oa business all went to shit. She wasn't going to be packing heavily for space.

Oh, Jesus Christ.

This was really happening.

[ooc: Open post/office! Likely to be her last open post in the game so come and get her while you caaaaan.]
electrocynic: ([ec neg] Uggggh.)
Sarah had had a lot of time to be thinking some things over, lately. Especially over the back end of last week, which had been complete and utter bollocks by the way, because trying to smoke on the balcony was not easy when you risked getting bitten by flying fucking sharks in the process of just trying to get your nicotine fix.

So, anyway.

She'd had a lot of time to think, and she was veering closer and closer to a a decision.

Except that was a lie, kind of, because she'd more or less already made up her mind. And that meant one thing: checking in with some people who weren't Jenny and therefore weren't going to just relentlessly gush at her for being so romantic or some other bullshit like that.

And so, armed with far too much beer, she knocked on the door across the hall from hers.

With her foot. Because, see above about all the beer. She had her hands full, so, kicking it was.

[ooc: For them dudes that live here! Up early for SP and timezoney justice]
electrocynic: ([ec neg] Uggggh.)
Bad habits were so easy to fall into. Like binge-watching several bad reality shows on Netflix in a row because you seemingly had nothing better to do. And sure, Sarah had something better to do because she ought to have been at least putting in some appearances at her office, but she hadn't found the energy to be arsed to do that in a while.

Maybe this week.

But not today.

Even if she had just finished the latest series of some dating show and was now feeling disgusted with the universe. Followed by absentmindedly browsing things on her phone and without realizing, ending up on the Portalocity site, looking up portals to Oa. And then feeling disgusted with herself, instead.

"Jesus Christ. I need to get out more."

And maybe talk to herself less.

She made a snap decision to work on that second part first. (Weren't snap decisions always the smart way to go? Definitely.) The phone was already in her hand – all it took was sending a text.

Bored out of my wits. Have crisps and cleavage if you'll bring beer and ... fill that in yourself.

She was the classiest, always.

[ooc: For that dude, though open for other visits/calls/texts as well, if you want.]

Jigsaw puzzles were so fucking boring.

So why was Electroclash still working on the one she had spread out over the desk in her office? Some weird masochistic sense of 'well it's not like I have anything else to be doing', probably. Besides, she'd made some progress over the last month. One corner of the puzzle filled up an' all. Even if it was still boring as shit.

Sure, there was a pile of untouched paperwork off to one side but please, she wasn't that desperate for entertainment.

[ooc: Open door/post. Come get your guidance on.]
Electroclash's desk was being taken up by a jigsaw puzzle. Or at least one corner of it. She'd only just gotten started with it, see, and was really just in the process of trying to find the edge pieces. That was how you got started with these bloody things, right? She didn't know.

Jenny had been badgering her about getting a hobby.

So this fucking better count for that.

Also it was supposed to encourage her to spend time in her office, but there was a good chance it'd drive her to leave early because honestly, who the fuck thought it was a good idea to make puzzles out of pictures where so many bloody pieces looked exactly the same?

[ooc: Open!]
Inside a gloomy, unwelcoming building (covered in half-broken neon signage and graffiti) in the warehouse district, Electroclash was waiting.

Or at least it looked like she was. She was sitting behind her empty desk in her office, surrounded by all manner of equipment and screens that occasionally beeped or flashed red (or, in certain cases, sickening yellow), transmitting information at a rate higher than anyone could've been able to absorb.

Of course, she didn't really need any of that. Her desk was clear and she was looking off into the distance because the real work was happening within her head. Was she controlling the machines, or was she part of them? Who even knew. The years in Fandom had not left her much more than a mystery. Mostly, people knew three things:

One: her voice had a faint metallic quality to it, which could get unnerving after a while. Unless you were the type of perv to be into that.

Two: she could at least mimic the occasional human emotion, but whether she was capable of actually feeling them was left to guessing.

Three: she delivered the goods. Whatever the goods needed happened to be, she delivered them. So it didn't really matter what her voice was like, and what percentage of her was robotics and what percentage – if any – was flesh. People always came to her, regardless.

And so, she was waiting. Or so it looked.

[ooc: Open post! Come do shady business of your choosing.]
There was a note on Sarah's door today:

Let's not.
Don't mention meta for Voldemort.
Thanks.

It was mostly for the benefit of her next interaction with a takeaway delivery person. This weekend was going to be one of junk food and truly terrible television with absolutely no informational or otherwise current reality-based value whatsoever. She didn't want any well-meaning delivery people bringing up anything to mess with her cocooning.

And, hey, if it also worked on anyone that decided to drop by for a visit without food, all the better. Because seriously, she wanted everyone to just shut the fck up for a couple of days. Just... shush.

But the best way to ensure that people did that was to just lay on the couch in ratty sweats and a t-shirt with only the telly for company. It was working well for her, so far.

[ooc: Open post, referencing this note on the door of a dance school in Helsinki.]
Electroclash was back from London. Straight from London, in fact – because sometimes the way to ensure she actually made it to work at some point was to just skip going home at all so she didn't get distracted by the fact that she didn't actually have to deal with anyone at home if she didn't want to. Because that kind of freedom could be awfully distracting.

Anyway, so, she headed straight up to the school after getting back. And unceremoniously dumped her Jen-given souvenirs onto her desk: a small bag of handmade fudge... and a 3000-piece jigsaw puzzle. Jenny thought it could be fun. Somehow. Something for her to do at the office! Because apparently everyone was obsessed with her not doing her job enough, Jesus fucking Christ. Whatever.

But she was looking the box over now all the same.

[ooc: Open post, open office, I'm done filming things for the week, aw yisss.]
electrocynic: ([ec pos] Mmhmm do continue.)
Date night was not something that had happened in this apartment a ton. Not in... well, several years now. Even Sarah and her cynicism had to admit it was exciting, a little.

Not that it was a very seriously date-y date. Nor had she done much in preparation for it, except pick a shirt that had more than enough cleavage happening. She'd just made sure there wasn't too much unseemly clutter happening anywhere Kanan was likely to be, and that she was stacked on both booze and snacks.

And she was.

So now, she was just waiting for him to turn up.

[ooc: For that guy! And probable SP, omg.]
electrocynic: ([ec neg] Bitchy uniform.)
Electroclash didn't feel like being here.

So, business as usual, then. Since she was here, and looking surly as hell while she was. Although at least some of the surliness was due to Jenny's bloody stupid insistence that Sarah should make some kind of a cutesy little slideshow of some of their holiday photographs.

The computer wasn't co-operating. Neither with her feeble attempts at clicking things, nor actual raspy, electronic voiced commands.

"Un-fucking-believable."

Yeah, this was great and soothing.

[ooc: Open!]
electrocynic: ([ec neg] Bitchy uniform.)
And here we were again.

Electroclash, bored out of her wits, in her office.

But there was one small perk compared to many, many other times this same situation had happened: there was no annoying radio! Granted, there wasn't any radio, but the lack of a possessed radio spewing God knows what drivel at an uncomfortable volume was a definite plus.

Not that it made Electroclash look any less surly, but, you know. Still nice.

[ooc: Open.]
electrocynic: ([srh pos] Smug and slutty.)
The thing about choosing date attire while your apartment was full of pollen was that sometimes you ended up in a dress that you were kind of a little too boobtastic for. But sometimes these things couldn't be helped. Because sometimes it was way too late to go back and change once you realized the error of your fashion ways, and you just had to own it.

Also, she did look great in it. Try to contain yourselves, Il Pollo customers.

"Well, here we are," she told her date, once they'd entered. Because she was perhaps even worse at talking while on a date than she was at dressing for one.

[ooc: For that one guy.]
electrocynic: ([ec neg] Oh that's actually bad.)
Sarah hadn't bothered getting out of her pajamas today. She'd received her flowers, snorted at the attached note, put them in a vase in the living room, and then made herself at home on her couch, where she intended to stay the entire day – so far, very successfully.

And currently, with a tub of Ben & Jerry's on her lap and some very poor-quality reality TV programming on the telly. Non-romantic, obviously. She didn't want to throw up, after all.

Also, so far? She was blaming her increased antsiness on the day. That wouldn't last, though. Not for a Fandom veteran like her.

[ooc: Open poooost, of course.]
electrocynic: ([ec neg] Bitchy uniform.)
There was a guidance counselor in the guidance counselor's office.

During actual office hours.

It was a mid-week miracle!

... She was also making paper planes out of a small pile of Valentine's Day themed junk mail. Because reasons. Which had largely to do with Valentine's Day being utter bollocks. Cheery!

[ooc: ]
electrocynic: ([srh neu] Listen here idiot.)
Sarah hadn't checked her mail in a while. Just hadn't really felt like it. There was never anything good in there anyway. It took the deep, all-encompassing boredom of a wintery Sunday afternoon for her to finally – sighing, of course – shift the small mountain of mail onto her kitchen table and start shifting through it.

Junk mail, junk mail, junk mail, SPA notice on new rules, junk mail, bills, junk mail, junk mail junk junk mail junk mail ––

"Oh, bollocks."

Invitation to a reunion. Ugh. See? Nothing good.

[ooc: Open, yes.]
electrocynic: ([ec pos] Mmhmm do continue.)
Sarah had no recollection of at any point during her stay in London having neither bought nor packed what was most aptly described as a small mountain of bags of crisps. And yet here they were, tumbling out of the bag she hadn't really bothered to unpack until now.

Considering how many of them seemed to be in particularly hot flavours, she suspected Alex had something to do with it.

But she wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. Instead, she grabbed a few of the small bags and slumped onto her couch with them. Maybe she could find something mindless to marathon and put her newly-found snacks to some good use.

[ooc: Semi-method RP ftw. Open, sure sure, entertain me in these here in-between days.]
electrocynic: ([srh neu] Listen here idiot.)
Perfectly ordinary morning here at MCA apartment number five. Sarah had wrestled herself out of bed and rubbed at her eyes and sighed at the general disarray of everything and whether she should go out to her office today, and while she was thinking about that, she wandered into the kitchen to get her morning tea started.

And once she was working on that...

"There's nothing wrong and the kettle's on; I think I'll have a cup of tea –– oh, fuck off, Fandom."

Well, that settled whether she was going to the office today or not.

[ooc: Open, sure.]
electrocynic: ([srh neu] Listen here idiot.)
Jenny was coming to visit tomorrow. No fighting her, apparently, though God knew Sarah had tried. She didn't need any bloody visitors at this time! But the administration had cocked up and sent Jenny an invitation, and there was no stopping her when she got the idea of cheering someone up in her head.

But at least she wasn't showing up today.

Not that Sarah was doing much of anything. She'd had a random idea about going off the island, to some bar no one knew her at, to see if she could go on the pull like she had –– well, a long, long time ago. However, the furthest she'd gotten with that was trying on an oooold dress. Which, yeah, unsurprisingly was a lot tighter on her than it used to be, though on the plus side, at least her rack looked bloody phenomenal once she'd squeezed herself into it.

Of course, after taking a moment to admire herself in the mirror (or have mixed feelings at herself in the mirror), she just flopped down onto her couch.

The mainland was too far away.

[ooc: Open. IDEK.]
To recap, the last week or so in Sarah’s life:

First, three days more or less entirely spent in bed with her ex-boyfriend. Yes, the one who’d fucked off to be a hero in space a few years back. Yes, the one she had not been over ever since. That one. Guy Gardner, ginger bloody menace and royal pain in her heart.

Then, two days and slowly working on making it three spent... mostly in bed, but also on the couch. Alone. Except for a few tubs of ice cream and some now-empty bottles of beer. She hadn’t even bothered to get hammered. She knew that wouldn't actually do anything but make her even more miserable.

As if that was somehow possible.

So anyway, now day three of her moping was dragging on. Maybe tomorrow she'd actually go outside. But she wasn’t counting on it. Not when there was takeout.

[ooc: Open, and up way early because I have actual class today and phone-pinging is infinitely easier than phone-posting, omg.]
