MCA #5, Saturday Morning
As far as Sarah was concerned, this was a perfectly ordinary Saturday. She'd slept in late, had some brekkie, was lounging around on the couch with something mindless on the telly. And considering the way last Saturday had gone – she felt like she'd only just recuperated from the hangover, if not the mental fallout of it all – she thought this one should just stay a quiet one.
In fact, she had half a mind to just stay in her pajamas all day.

Which might've given her something else to do than watch him while debating with several conflicting urges she was having.
He was warm and she was very aware of that.

The way she didn't, really. There was being a hero the way she and her friends and, God, even Devlin were, and then there was actually feeling like making a difference.
"And you're supposed to."

Yeah, that would last. Sure.
"I don't even know what that feels like."

He was biased.

She loved it.
She made a dry sound. "Now you're just talking out of your arse." Ever the romantic.

Because they were awful about saying those things when they were actually together.

He was definitely going to get punched if he made her cry.

He did the worse thing possible and kissed her then. Because oh god, Guy. Why do you do these things?
no subject
So, basically, he was an idiot.
Sarah hesitated for a few seconds. Because, you know, it was a bad idea. Or possibly just because it'd been a long time and her brain just spazzed out. Either way, she recovered. She kissed him back.
Got her hand tangled up in his shirt and everything.

What was her excuse?
Guy took that as his go ahead to run fingers through her hair and only get a little caught on tangles. This totally worked better in the movies, you know.
no subject
You could tell by the way she used her hold on his shirt to pull him towards her. Also, the continued kissing.

Guy pulled back just enough to look at her and give a little thought to how bad an idea this was. But, hey! Why stop now? Because now he was helping with that whole closer thing she was going for by putting his hands on her hips to almost pull her onto his lap.

She knew this was a bad idea, looking at his face right now was reminding her of that. She was still trying to shift onto his lap because dammit. It was there. She wanted to. She'd never been very good at worrying about the consequences in the moment.

"God damn, I missed you," Guy muttered, taking full advantage of their position now to run his hands over her back and shoulders to keep them close as possible.
