MCA #5, Sunday Afternoon

Sarah hadn't bothered getting out of her pajamas today. She'd received her flowers, snorted at the attached note, put them in a vase in the living room, and then made herself at home on her couch, where she intended to stay the entire day – so far, very successfully.

And currently, with a tub of Ben & Jerry's on her lap and some very poor-quality reality TV programming on the telly. Non-romantic, obviously. She didn't want to throw up, after all.

Also, so far? She was blaming her increased antsiness on the day. That wouldn't last, though. Not for a Fandom veteran like her.

"A low bar you set yourself? Fucking impressive, that is, space boy." Ugh. She got up. The ice cream needed to go back in the freezer. "Gold star."

"Anybody ever tell you your standards are too high?" Atton said.

"No one ever."

Mostly she heard the opposite. But whatever, she was making her way to the kitchen now.

Atton collapsed back onto the couch, put his feet up on the coffee table, and eyed the ceiling.

Sarah came back. Eventually. Stayed on her feet, though.

"Well?"

"I was going to take my pants off, but that would probably constitute tripping over another bar," Atton said.

He got up, though.

[electrocynic]

"Stop setting stupid bloody bars all over the place," Sarah retorted. "And take your pants off."

[suitably_heroic]

"You mind if I start with the shoes, because otherwise this is going to get awkward."

He kicked them off without waiting for an answer.

[electrocynic]

"I was looking forward to naming each article of clothing separately."

There was that sarcasm again. But she made up for that by unceremoniously stripping off her pajama top.

Atton shook off his jacket, then stripped his shirt off. It had the added bonus of making sure he didn't stand there slack-jawed staring at her breasts, which could only be a good thing.

"Yeah? I knew I should've worn more layers."

[electrocynic]

Hey, her breasts deserved to be stared at.

"So you're that into the sound of my voice?"

[suitably_heroic]

"Nah, you just roll your eyes less when you're enjoying yourself," Atton said, covering the last couple of paces to where she was standing.

And, okay, finally looking down at her breasts.

They continued to be magnificent.

Also the way her skin felt instantly warmer as soon as he was this close told her this was the right course of action.

"Yeah, I expect you'll be very focused on my eyes for the next while, space boy."

[suitably_heroic]

"I could be," Atton said, settling his hands on her hips, "But that'd be a little creepy."

Kissing her seemed like a great idea.

[electrocynic]

It was.

In Sarah's biased opinion, which she was conveying both with the way she was kissing him back as well as the way she wrapped her arms around his neck to pull him closer.
