MCA #5, Monday Evening
Bad habits were so easy to fall into. Like binge-watching several bad reality shows on Netflix in a row because you seemingly had nothing better to do. And sure, Sarah had something better to do because she ought to have been at least putting in some appearances at her office, but she hadn't found the energy to be arsed to do that in a while.
Maybe this week.
But not today.
Even if she had just finished the latest series of some dating show and was now feeling disgusted with the universe. Followed by absentmindedly browsing things on her phone and without realizing, ending up on the Portalocity site, looking up portals to Oa. And then feeling disgusted with herself, instead.
"Jesus Christ. I need to get out more."
And maybe talk to herself less.
She made a snap decision to work on that second part first. (Weren't snap decisions always the smart way to go? Definitely.) The phone was already in her hand – all it took was sending a text.
Bored out of my wits. Have crisps and cleavage if you'll bring beer and ... fill that in yourself.
She was the classiest, always.
[ooc: For that dude, though open for other visits/calls/texts as well, if you want.]

He knocked on the door, letting out a breath.

Well, she made half an effort, anyway. Place didn't look like a cave and she was in a clean (and cleavage-y) top when she came to the door. "Well, look what the text dragged in."

When she turned, it turned out she'd managed to pick trousers that complimented her, too. So maybe it wasn't just half an effort but... three quarters of one?

She plopped herself back down on the couch, brushing her phone aside as she did. The whole point of this thing was to ignore that, so better start now.

But whatever. "Is that what today is?" she asked, tilting her head. "Dunno if I'll ever learn your holidays."

"Marks the beginning of summer for a lot of kids here," he said, holding up the beer to place on the end table so she could drink her problems away.

Whatever.
"Only now?" she asked, making a face. "Feels like it's been summer for fucking ages already."
She was a delicate English rose, okay.

No reason.

"Well, it depends where in space. Because you could be boiled alive getting too near a star."

"Sounds more my speed," she quipped, though it was dry.

"Or, y'know. Random other things."

"Get off the internet, Tony."

Yes, she'd just used it as a verb.
"Tsk, Tony. Fucking tsk."

Because she was a dick.
Then she gave her verdict. "Both of those things sound disgusting."

And she was a working class superhero to te very core.

Oh, Fandom.
"I'll keep that in mind next time," he replied wryly.
