Guidance Counselor's Office, Tuesday

Oh, look who'd actually been doing her job! Electroclash, that's who. The emails she'd been sending back and forth with the administration were bearing fruit, finally. After careful consideration (though not on Sarah's part – maybe the moose had done it) of the situations on the island, they'd come to the decision that it'd be best to just start pulling kids at random for counseling. Let's face it, everyone on Fandom was probably a little messed up from all the fucked up things that kept happening. Might as well help people at random.

Though how they'd benefit from talking to Electroclash, well, they'd see.

So, some emails had been sent to random students, and Electroclash was in her office, ready to listen and ofer advice. Possibly terrible, terrible advice. But advice nonetheless!

[ooc: Open! Feel free to mod your character having gotten an email asking them to come see the counselor! The same will be happening in the coming weeks as well, because I figure this is a good way of IC-ly forcing people in that wouldn't come in on their own even though their players would OOCly like it.]

Topher momentarily drew back out of the doorway to look at the door.

Then returned as if that had never happened and flopped down in a chair. "So hey."

Electroclash was still eyeing him with a look that said she wasn't about to forget he'd done that.

"You're one of the ones the emails went out to, right?"

[dollpocalypse]

"Yup. Topher Brink. Does this have something to do with the movie thing from last week? Because I could do detention again instead of talking if that's an option."

[electrocynic]

"I haven't the foggiest about what you're on about," Electroclash informed him cheerfully, lacing her fingers together before resting her chin on them, "but you should definitely talk about it."

[dollpocalypse]

Oh. Well. That sucked.

"I was watching some girl's webcast about her life problems in the common room?" Topher said, shrugging. "And then apparently she came in and ran away and cried or something." He'd looked up the radio podcast after talking to Jim last night. WHOOPS. "I figured being called in here had to do with that."

[electrocynic]

Electroclash shrugged. "Well, it might." She hadn't looked up any particular reasons to pull anyone in, but the administration may have, for all she knew. "So how's that make you feel?"

[dollpocalypse]

Topher tilted his head in serious consideration of that question.

"Partly puzzled by what I did that was offensive, partly concerned that this will end in violence and partly unimpressed with Tomato's emotional control." Beat. "I mean, Olive's."

[electrocynic]

"I think the fact that you're not sure which vegetable to call her by may shed some light on why you can't figure out why it might've been offensive."

Were olives even vegetables? Were tomatos? Did it matter?

[dollpocalypse]

"...What?"

DO GO ON, SARAH.

[electrocynic]

She rolled her eyes. He should get used to her doing that, by the way, because it was going to happen a lot, she could already tell.

"You don't seem to know this girl very well."

[dollpocalypse]

"True," Topher agreed, though he wasn't sure how that related to anything. Because he was sloooow. "I just looked her up 'cause she's dating my friend. So?"

[electrocynic]

"Well from the sounds of it you aired some of her dirty laundry for everyone to see," Electroclash pointed out. "Most people get upset over that. Some stranger getting into their business."

[dollpocalypse]

"But she made the video herself!" Kate Gregson he could give a pass for her cake porn since apparently the video had been taken by someone else, but come on. "She was basically pulling a George Lucas and trying to yank her holiday special from distribution even though it was her own fault it existed and the whole point was for people to see it."

[electrocynic]

"Minus points for the geek reference," Electroclash informed him. Like a good guidance counselor. "And if she's upset, you've done wrong and you need to accept that."

[dollpocalypse]

"Well, I don't wanna." THAT WAS MATURE. "Anyway, since when is that a rule? I can be upset 'cause you took away points for my awesome Space Battles reference. Does that mean you did something wrong?"

Well, yes. It was called 'guidance counseling.'

[electrocynic]

"My office, my rules, kidlet," she rasped easily, leaning back in her chair and picking lint off her sleeve. "Wasn't your video to show. You need to respect other people, and shit like that."

[dollpocalypse]

"But that's stupid," Topher informed her. "What, like I'm not allowed to Google anyone? Ever?"

[electrocynic]

Oh, there came another eye roll!

"There's a difference between Googling someone, and letting everyone else see what you found. How is that not as clear as fucking daylight? The first is what pervs do on their own, the other is tabloid magazines."

[dollpocalypse]

"Hey! I'm not a perv." That was totally the point, Topher, yes. Good job. "And I was only watching it in the common room because I was already there when it occured to me. I didn't, like, invite people to come in. Usually when I'm there it's all freaky quiet."

[electrocynic]

"With those social skills, it's hard to imagine why," Electroclash drawled, because she was not suited for this job. She leaned forward again. "Look, kid, you're going to have to apologize to her."

[dollpocalypse]

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuugh," Topher whined, leaning back in his chair dramatically. "That's what Victor said too. But shouldn't she apologize too? For, like... making a boring webcast?"

[electrocynic]

"No." And that was final. "People don't need to apologize for being boring, no matter how much you want them to. But if you make them feel like shit then yes, you do need to apologize."

[dollpocalypse]

"Fine, I will," Topher groused. "The world would be better if people had to apologize for being boring, though."

[electrocynic]

"Can't argue with that." Because she was a horrible person. "But that's the way it is."

Not that she followed that guideline herself but whatever, she was being a counselor right now.

[dollpocalypse]

Topher heaved a sigh. "Well, the world's dumb," he decided. Maturely. "Anyway. Do I pass? Can I go?"

[electrocynic]

"Yup." Oh, wait. "But you'll need to report back on your progress."

Or something.

[dollpocalypse]

"Ugh." That was a great attitude, Topher! "You here every week?"

[electrocynic]

"Mmhmm. Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Depends on other obligations."

By which she meant whether she was able to get out of bed in time on any given Tuesday.

[dollpocalypse]

"Then I'll be back here at some point in the future," Topher said, with a sarcastic little salute.

You know. Depending on other obligations.
