That was a good move. Good enough that she shifted a little closer to him. Which also happened to push her hand a little further up his thigh.

The kiss wasn't very tentative. On a scale from 'light and tentative first kiss' to 'hello I'm definitely having sex with you tonight, repeatedly if possible', it was way more towards the latter than the former.

Well, that was good, because Kanan had grown out of 'light and tentative first kiss' territory back around the same time he'd given up on things like 'Jedi robes' and 'celibacy.'

It had been a big year, really.

This kiss, though? This one had bite to it, a sort of playful, hungry quality that gave plenty of the same vibe in turn. And Kanan's hand wandered that little bit more, settling on the small of her back so that he could pull her just that little bit closer.

He was a fan of closer.

Well, it was such a nice thing. A good thing to be a fan of – which Sarah also was, in case that wasn't obvious. And she hoped it was, from all the leaning.

At least she wasn't trying to climb into his lap. Yet, anyway.

She was just kissing him like that was an option.

That... was actually pretty fantastic, so far as options went. And it wasn't like Kanan wasn't shameless enough to encourage it, either. He gave a little hum in question, as if to say, 'Wouldn't this be so much easier if you were straddling me instead?' and let his other hand join the first, giving her a suggestive little nudge in his general direction.

... What? It wasn't like he was going to come up for air to say it. This was a damn good kiss.

Well if he was going to be encouraging...

Yeah, she moved. It was a little fumbly, what with her desire to also not break the kiss and all, but she managed without incident to shift and climb over his lap. Straddling was just so much more comfortable. Yes. Comfortable was exactly the word.

And she could do one better, reaching for the hem of her shirt once she'd settled down. Sure, she had to actually break the kiss for a few seconds when she was pulling said shirt off, but it was worth it. If her rack had looked great with the shirt, it looked even better in just a bra.

Not that he was getting much of a look when she went right back to kissing him, but. He'd know it was there.

Well, that was good. Kanan didn't need the reminder that it was there, but that moment taken to watch her remove that shirt was a fantastic moment all the same. He was grinning when he returned to that kiss, and, hell, he really only needed one hand for her back, didn't he? And if it wasn't on her back, per se, and if it was moving down to rest on that very attractive behind of hers, he figured she'd understand.

Either that, or she'd be somewhat more distracted by the hand that was instead moving to caress one of those lovely breasts of hers, since they were right there and it would be a shame to pass up the opportunity.

Sarah appreciated both of those things. A whole lot. "And you didn't even need a map." Apparently enough so that she even took the time to mumble a few words, amused but clearly enjoying herself.

Her hands were on his shoulders, but that was likely to change.

"I don't often brag about my stellar navigation skills, but, what can I say? I'm a natural," Kanan chuckled, then leaned in to kiss her again before his mouth went wandering. She had a lovely jawline, for example, and it kind of desperately need to be nibbled at. Maybe en route to her throat, there...

From the way she was tilting her head back, slightly, it could probably be safely assumed that he was more than free to do that. "Bodes well for the rest of the evening," she murmured, one of her hands moving so she could lightly scratch her nails against the back of his neck. "Not that I mind giving guided tours."

Well, hello, nails. Kanan was a big fan. He gave a little chuckle as his mouth explored the contours of Sarah's throat, hands moving over her back, her sides, that lovely bottom of hers right back around to her equally lovely breasts...

"Well, if you have any requests," he murmured, somewhere between her throat and her shoulder.

Sarah shifted on his lap. The narrative could've claimed it was for getting comfier, but really, it wasn't. It was for friction, and teasing. Both of those. Also for wishing she'd worn a skirt or something instead of trousers, even though she pretty much hated skirts.

"Could just get rid of the bra, for a start."

"You know, that's an excellent suggestion..."

Look, undoing Sarah's bra required moving a hand away from what it was doing then and there, so if the hooks on the back just happened to slip free so that he could tug it free with minimal time away from what they were up to, hey, that sort of thing happened sometimes, right?

If he was leaning in to replace one of those hands with his mouth, well, it seemed like the next logical step, here. Especially since he was shifting around a bit, too. That friction was definitely good for some first-class teasing, wasn't it?

It'd been a long, long time since Sarah had last been in this kind of a situation with anyone who didn't have one kind of power or other. So she wasn't exactly surprised, but she did let out a throaty chuckle at feeling the bra just come undone on its own.

Followed by a quiet gasp because a hand had been nice, but as was often the case with these things, a mouth was just infinitely better. (It was a thing to do with warmth. Also the wetness.) "Yeah, figured you'd like that." Hey, her breasts had long been an obvious asset of hers! And one she'd gladly used to her advantage many a time, even if these days she was occasionally getting a little more self-conscious about the way gravity was starting to affect things.

That wasn't really a thought she was currently having. Her nails dug into his skin a little more sharply. Also, this time, the movement of her hips wasn't really a shift. More like a grind. A slight one, but still.

"Big fan," he agreed, humming a little in appreciation.

Bah, gravity. Kanan was hardly going to nitpick, here. She still had some very attractive assets, so far as he was concerned, and between her nails and her hips, he was starting to come to the realization that he was still wearing entirely too many clothes, himself. Unfortunately, he did need to stop touching her in order to pull his shirt up over his own head, but even that was just a moment, and once he'd tossed it to the side, he was free to lean right back in to kiss her even more hungrily than before.

Right back to making up for lost time. Really, if there was some way to just will themselves to nakedness without actually stopping what they were doing, he'd probably be all for it.

That'd be awfully convenient, wouldn't it? Too bad neither of them had that power.

But they'd cross that bridge when they got to it. (Possibly sometime sooner rather than later, if the way Sarah was starting to feel was anything to go by.) Right now, though, she was taking advantage of all that newly-exposed skin to run the nails of her other hand up his arm, then over his shoulder and down his chest some. Exploring.

Hey, something to work on, someday. Though the Force probably wasn't that accommodating. Things to aspire to.

For now, Kanan was quite happy to let her explore, grinning and resting his hands on her hips, fingers toying with the waistline of her pants. He still had a belt to work his way out of, himself, but at this rate, they'd probably get to it before long, wouldn't they? Judging by the way he was leaning up to press skin against skin, sooner rather than later did seem to be an accurate assessment, here.

And Sarah knew just how to speed up that process. Or at least the urge. Or maybe her motivation for grinding her hips down against his again was more about the simple and immediate thrill of it. Because that was not something to be overlooked.

Also the noise she made in the back of her throat when she did it could've easily been classified as needy.

So yes. Sooner rather than later. Though she was going to get a few more shameless grinding motions in, just to be sure. Just for motivation. Certainly not for the friction of fabric against fabric between two bodies. Clearly that did nothing for very sensitive parts of her.

Her breathing also didn't quicken a bit. Right.

Of course it didn't. Neither did Kanan's. Really. Except for how he was rocking back up against her as she moved against him, one might almost get the impression that he was--

Okay, no, he was very much of a mind to get rid of the clothes between them as quickly as possible, here. Because, funny enough, shameless grinding for the sake of motivation was actually one hell of an effective motivator. The kind that had him tugging at her pants, his kisses and licks and nibbles growing decidedly more urgent. Hungry.

The fabric against fabric thing was great. But less was more, right?

Less was more. Sarah was in agreement with that thought. Sarah's body, even more so. Which meant that after a particularly hungry kind of kiss, she needed to scramble off his lap and onto her feet. Just for a moment. Because unfortunately, while her jeans weren't exactly skinny, they were on the tight side enough that she couldn't get them off while straddling anyone.

Not without falling off the fucking couch in the process, anyway.

"This is just 'cause I need to get these bloody things off meself."

Just in case he'd think she was bolting. Even though nothing about her seemed to suggest that, because one look at the way her gaze dipped down his body while she was undoing her pants said enough about what she was thinking right now.

And it wasn't bolting.

"Well," Kanan replied, and he was grinning at her as he pulled himself to his feet for much the same reason. After all, he still had a belt he needed to lose, and pants of his own that needed to join his shirt on the floor, and hell, if she was going to be pulling her pants off and looking him over, why not give her a show of similar caliber right back? "Don't let me stop you."

... Besides, if they were on their feet, it was much easier to get a look around the room for surfaces he might want to press her up against.

The pickings were pretty slim in that regard. As far as horizontal surfaces went, there was really just her writing desk (rarely used for its intended purpose) off to one side. Aside from the coffee table, which was both very low as well as flimsy as hell by the look of it.

But of course, there were several spots of available wall space.

She shimmied her way out of the jeans. Still left her underwear on, though. He might want to do those honours, see. (She was also leering at him, because of course she was.)

Yeah, that coffee table was being ruled right out, but walls? Walls were great. And the best thing about them was that he really didn't have to pay close attention to his surroundings to know they were there. When he could watch her pull her jeans off, why would he want to look anywhere else unless he absolutely needed to? Just like he wasn't looking down at what his own hands were doing, deftly unbuckling his belt and working his way out of his own pants as he did so.

Like her, he was going to leave his underwear on. Because, really, that was the most fun piece of clothing to remove, and she'd been kind enough to leave him hers. He very much approved of her thoughtfulness. And if there was a bit of a prowl in his step as he discarded his pants and made his way over to her, at this point he figured it was practically mandatory anyway.

"Hey," he purred. "I see you left me the fun part."

The prowl matched her leering, really. Both were mandatory at this point.

"Figured I should leave you some of the work," she drawled, reaching out to run her hand down his chest. The pads of her fingers, first, but she switched those for nails halfway down. "I like an active participant."

"Well, as much as I enjoy watching, I do much prefer a more hands-on approach," Kanan noted, giving a pleased little shiver as her nails moved over his skin. In reply, he reached his own hands out to trail up along her thighs, moving lightly toward her hips. "It adds a bit of a personal touch."

"And personal touches are exactly what's needed right now," Sarah replied with a smirk and a tilt of her head. Her nails trailed their way down to his stomach, where they stopped to teasingly trace a spiral against his skin. "Really fucking personal, actually."
